We will be at the Quanos Connect conference again, which will take place for the fifth time on May 19 and 20 2026 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center. Quanos Connect is all about news and knowledge exchange on technical documentation and after-sales & service topics, and of course, there are plenty of opportunities for networking.

In many companies, terminology management fails not for lack of data but due to unclear or missing workflows. Communication via email or in Excel files leads to a lack of traceability and unclear responsibilities.

In our mini webinar with Andrea Takatsuna and Carina Gunkel, you'll learn how the Quickterm module Workflows Pro finally makes your terminology workflows efficient and collaborative – enabling company-wide terminology management on one central platform.

Webinar: Workflows Pro

Writing technical documentation demands high levels of precision and discipline. While XMetaL Author efficiently handles structure, authoring, and automation, Quickterm can complement the editor by ensuring correct and consistent terminology, which further enhances the overall quality of documentation.

With Quickterm, it's like having a personal terminology expert by your side. Join our webinar to see how Quickterm, with its Verification Pro module and XMetaL plug‑in, reduces rework by enabling authors to use accurate terminology from the start.

Webinar: XMetal and Quickterm

Terminology has the biggest impact when it reaches the right audience. But valuable data is too often trapped in silos or has to be manually exported and imported into other systems: a time-consuming and error-prone process that quickly leads to confusion and outdated terminology resources.

In our free mini webinar, Patrycja Ziobroń will show you how to use the Publishing Pro module to distribute terminology to other tools fully automatically. You'll learn how Quickterm becomes a true "single source of truth" and how your terminology is transferred to target systems such as Trados, Phrase, memoQ, or Acrolinx on a scheduled basis and without manual effort.

Publishing Pro: Get the Right Terms to the Right People

Technical terms might seem clear in theory, but in reality, their meaning often depends on how they relate to other terms. Traditional databases usually lack these connections. So, how are products, components, or services really linked?

In our mini webinar, Patrycja Ziobroń will show you how to link your terminology in Quickterm using the Concept Maps module. You will learn how to transform abstract concepts into clear, graphical knowledge networks. By visually displaying superordinate and subordinate terms as well as functional relationships, terminology suddenly becomes tangible and intuitively understandable for everyone. Plus, Concept Maps provide the context that GenAI needs to deliver better results.

Concept Maps: How to Visualize Complex Terminology Data

Subject matter experts and external partners are essential for terminology work, but they often lack the time or access to work directly in a specialized terminology management system. Whether editing on the go or collaborating with external partners, exchanging data via Excel often leads to chaos when importing changes, compromises data integrity, and is no longer suitable for professional terminology management.

In our mini webinar, Patrycja Ziobron will show you how to combine the best of both worlds with the Quickterm module Offline Editing. You'll learn how to securely export exactly the terminology data that's relevant to a special Excel format, edit it using familiar functions, and then reliably import it back into Quickterm. The system automatically detects changes or deletions, ensuring that your database remains consistent.

EN Release Webinar:Quickterm 6.8.2: Making Life Easier With And Without AI

LavaCon will take place from October 25–28, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina (USA). This year's theme is "Reducing Costs, Generating Revenue, and Improving the Customer Experience Through Better Content." In addition to the usual tracks, there will also be an AI track this year, focusing on the topic "Beyond Proof of Concept: How Leading Companies Are Using AI to Reduce Costs—without Laying Off their Content Teams."

Content and AI are right in Kaleidoscope's wheelhouse, so of course Gregor Kneitz and Klaus Fleischmann are already looking forward to being at LavaCon in person.

Klaus Fleischmann is also going to give a presentation about AI and Terminology-Augmented Generation.

We are delighted to be taking part in the Language Intelligence Conference again this year. The conference will take place from 17 to 19 November 2026 in the Austrian Parliament in Vienna.

Language Intelligence is the leading conference for AI-powered language technologies, bringing together experts from industry, research, and technology.

For us, it is a great opportunity to discuss current developments in language intelligence, machine translation, language-based AI, and innovative workflows. That is also why attending is worthwhile: if you want to understand and help shape the future of language technologies, this is the place to meet relevant experts, hear inspiring talks, and connect with the community.

Of course we are also excited about giving a presentation and hosting a workshop as well. We will share more information about both very soon.

We look forward to sharing our experience, offering insights into our work, and connecting with attendees.

Language Intelligence 2026

Terminology data is one of the most powerful guardrails to keep AI-generated content on-brand and factually sound, just as it has been guiding human-generated content quality for decades. The game-changing opportunity for terminology data is to inject not only corporate brand language, but also contextual knowledge into AI output, increasing the value terminology management brings to the entire company.

We call this approach Terminology-Augmented Generation, based on the more commonly known Retrieval-Augmented Generation. However, terminology resources have often not been maintained optimally or have simply not been optimized for large language models, limiting their potential.

Join terminology veterans **Barbara Inge Karsch** and **Kara Warburton** as they tackle the uncomfortable truth about legacy terminology assets and what it takes to get them into AI-ready shape. Together with Klaus Fleischmann as a moderator, they will explore proven methods to bridge the quality gap, investigate how AI can also help in terminology work, and share hard-won, real-life experiences from the terminology trenches.
